I love to focus on the beauty around me.

While going on my daily walk I often

snap a photo with my phone and

then later try and paint it. Even wild flowers

and weeds can be beautiful. Even the

rain and the mist of a dreary day can

make a flower look majestic.

I have the privilege of living in one

of the most beautiful countries in

the world, Switzerland. At every

corner there is beauty waiting to

be captured.

The fall and winter tend to be dark

and dreary in Switzerland. To

brighten up my evenings I will

doodle with my watercolors. I love to

see the colors flow and mix and

come to life. The mixing and flowing

of beautiful colors ignites a

part of my brain that had become

dull, after years of hard work and

self denial of motherhood.

In creating beauty with my brush I come

to life.
